ABOUT

Dan Haley has been a fixture in the Portland “East Side Sound scene” since he formed Ed & The Boats in the 80’s. After stints in Germany and Vermont, Dan is back in Portland where he is an indispensable multi-instrumentalist in the projects of several local legends including Lynn Conover, Annette Lowman, and Tim Acott when he isn't playing his own original, tonally rich and thematically playful flavor of original music. Dan also offers instrument lessons and private shows for small groups and events.

SUPPORT

The pandemic has been brutal on the live music scene. With no safety nets in place, many artists are finding that with community care, they can continue to work as full-time musicians.

CURRENT PROJECTS

ANNETTE LOWMAN TRIO

Story-telling jazz featuring renowned vocalist Annette Lowman, legendary bassist Tim Acott, and Daniel Haley.

GRAVEL

“We play a little rock.”

Psychedelic, harmony-driven, female-fronted, party-friendly roots rock.

Two electric guitars and full vocal harmonies a la The Band wrap around the whiskey-soaked diamond voice of Portland legend, Lynn Conover. Dan Haley plays guitar along with Lynn and occasionally takes over lead vocal duties as does stellar bassist, J Michael Kersey (of Razorbacks and Brothers of the Baldi fame). Louis Lozada (a student of master drummer, Carleton Jackson) is the superb drummer that glues it all together.

THE GREENE STRYPES

Power duo magic with former Groundlings drummer Howard Greene. Original songs, tasteful, diverse covers and experimental looping.

EXPLORE

From bebop to bluegrass, from sea shanties to psychedelia, Dan has played it all. Been there? Get the t-shirt.
