Dan Haley is a virtuosic player and master songwriter who has opened for The Pretenders, Dan Hicks, Townes Van Zandt and Camper Van Beethoven. Dan has been an indispensable sideman in several Portland, Oregon and Central Vermont music projects including those of Mark LeGrand, Rusty Romance, Spencer Lewis, and The Cosmic Americans. Dan moved back to Portland in August 2011 and plays “fab/rustic art-pop” as Mister Casual, his solo act. He can also be seen playing alongside local legends like Jimmy Boyer, Lynn Conover, Tim Acott, and Billy Kennedy as well as his partner Rachael Rice.
Dan offers lessons in various stringed instruments including guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and bass at his Southeast Portland home, at Starfish Studios in Southeast Portland, and online via Skype.
