The ImproVisions Jazz Quintet

Dan began his jazz education at Wisconsin College Conservatory of Music and continued in Gresham, Oregon where he studied stage band arranging and keyboard harmony.  Dan played in Neil Gilpin’s Belmont Street Octet for several years in Portland, Oregon, before moving to Vermont where he served on the board of the Green Mountain Jazz Series.

Dan now plays with the jazz group The ImproVisions,  consisting of leader and pianist Michael Arnowitt (who also writes many of the band’s compositions), virtuoso chromatic harmonica player John LaRouche, acoustic and electric bassist Sam Davis, and Kirby Nickels on percussion.  Dan Silverman sometimes joins as a special guest on trombone.
